A breath of fresh air and sobriety blows through your interior with the Mahila rug. Available in two unique patterns, Ikat and Pisa, come straight from the Kandal region of Cambodia.
Its manufacture requires a lot of time and patience, because after harvesting and sorting the rushes, they must be dyed, then left to dry, before being woven by hand for two days. A true living piece, it is a carpet that evolves over time.
Its unique patterns are bordered by small black fringes that frame the carpet. The Mahila carpet is meticulously made by women at home, on the loom located under the stilts of their house. This home-based work allows them to give free rein to their creativity and talent.
