Raphia and munja

History

Munja takes its name from its fine and slender fiber: a herbaceous plant from the arid regions of India. Here combined with raffia and a bamboo structure, it is a piece that combines two types of weaving to bring relief and character: the raffia that goes around the lampshade is then covered with munja braided in an hourglass shape for a unique effect.

The Luz lamp base is sold separately from the lampshade.

Our munja and raffia lampshades

Defined by their distinctive, pared-back silhouettes, the Munja lampshades combine munja fibre with delicate raffia details to soften and enrich the light they cast. Available in a range of warm, inviting designs, each lampshade is crafted from a unique natural fibre that gently filters the light, creating an elegant dance of shadows across the walls.
