History

Once placed in a room, Bayana reigns supreme.

This rug woven on rustic wooden looms in the Mirzapur region of India features several remarkable techniques: hand-embroidered and over-embroidered patterns to add relief and a play of textures, traditional panja technique for weaving, mixture of wool and cotton threads, weights on the sides for good support on the ground... And on top of all that, it is also a piece whose craftsmanship helps to feed the economy of villages, which would otherwise rely solely on their agricultural income.

We choose it on a Snow background to brighten up an entire room, or we prefer the natural warmth of the Tobacco background for a more cocooning interior.
Remarkable, we warned you.

Advice

Regular vacuuming: vacuum gently without a rotating brush to avoid damaging the fibers. Vacuuming two to three times per week is recommended, especially in high-traffic areas.

Avoid stains: clean any spilled liquid immediately by blotting with a dry cloth. Do not rub, as this may embed the stain deeper into the fibers.

Deep cleaning: once a year, have your rug professionally cleaned by a specialist experienced in wool rugs.

Air and shake: from time to time, take your rug outside and shake it to remove dust and dirt that settle deep within the fibers.

Avoid moisture: wool is sensitive to moisture, so never leave your rug wet for long periods.
