History

The Tayi bag blends the modernity of quilting with a time-honored love of traditional fabrics. Made from our hand-block-printed fabric scraps, it features a quilted look thanks to the assembly of two fabrics that are first manually block-printed with traditional Indian patterns before being dyed. The three patterns are at once different... and perfectly complementary: poetic flowers, graphic triangles, and original rectangles.

Since our fabrics are made from plant-based, natural dyes, they are a living material whose colors evolve and develop a patina over time. The red and orange are obtained from madder roots, the brown from rhubarb roots, the blue from indigo, and the yellow from pomegranate. You can mix and match them, but also use them to liven up a more classic plain color. Highly irresistible...
