The Tayi bag combines the modernity of quilting with the ancestral love for traditional fabrics. Made from our scraps of hand-block printed fabrics, it has a quilted appearance thanks to the assembly of two fabrics that are first manually block-printed with traditional Indian patterns before being dyed. The three patterns are both different... and perfectly complementary: poetic flowers, graphic triangles and original rectangles.
As our fabrics are made from vegetable dyes and therefore natural, it is a living material whose colors evolve and acquire a patina over time. Red and orange are obtained from madder roots, brown from rhubarb roots, blue from indigo, yellow from pomegranate. You can mix them in mix & match but also use them to wake up a more classic plain.
