The Ajrak bed runner stands out for its combination of textures and artisanal character. Designed to be placed at the foot of the bed, it pairs a soft, plain cotton velvet backing with a richly detailed printed face, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship.

Its pattern is created using a traditional Indian technique that requires great expertise: the fabric is carefully prepared, hand block-printed with ancestral motifs, and then dyed using natural pigments.

Ajrak’s colours come exclusively from plant-based dyes, including indigo blue, pomegranate yellow, and rich brown tones derived from rhubarb root. This traditional dyeing process gives the fabric a unique depth and a living quality.
