Raphia and munja

History

Munja takes its name from its fine and slender fiber: a herbaceous plant from the arid regions of India. Here combined with raffia and a bamboo structure, it is a piece that combines two types of weaving to bring relief and character: the raffia that goes around the lampshade is then covered with munja braided in an hourglass shape for a unique effect.

The Luz lamp base is sold separately from the lampshade.

Our lampshades in munja and raffia

Munja lampshades, with their distinctive and refined shapes, stand out for the delicate addition of raffia and munja, which bring a natural softness to the light diffused in the room. Available in several versions, all imbued with warmth, these lampshades use a unique fiber that lets light pass through and creates an elegant play of shadows on the walls, similar to a ballet.
