August 7th is Handloom Day in India. At Caravane, the topic is important: for the love of handloom textiles, we often choose handwoven fabrics straight from India. A sector that promotes the maintenance of a family ecosystem in villages, the transmission of ancestral know-how… And emancipation.
Because with Women Weave, our weavers are weavers. They are supported in preserving their know-how, benefit from scholarships and childcare services, better access to health care or zero-interest loans.
