History

The small Selena pillowcases embody all the elegance of washed linen in a design that is both refined and effortlessly relaxed. Crafted from flax harvested and woven in Europe, they showcase the richness of a generous 200 g/m² weave, giving them beautiful substance, a supple drape and a lasting sense of comfort.

Against the skin, washed linen offers a naturally soft, lively and subtly textured feel. Its fabric provides a pleasant sensation of freshness while remaining enveloping and comfortable. Naturally breathable and thermoregulating, linen supports restful sleep by helping to maintain a comfortable temperature throughout the night, keeping you cool in summer and offering cosy comfort when temperatures drop.

Each piece is garment-dyed in our French workshop using a piece-dyeing technique that reveals the full depth and subtlety of its colours. Carefully considered finishes enhance the elegance of the collection, notably through delicate fabric ties that bring a signature touch of refinement.

Naturally soft and gently crinkled, washed linen is distinguished by its authentic appearance and voluptuous texture that becomes even more beautiful over time. The slight irregularities of the fabric reflect its living character, making each pillowcase unique. Presented in packaging crafted from the same fabric using the traditional Furoshiki wrapping technique, they reflect the meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship that define the Selena collection.

Washed linen

The beauty of the Selena range

Lies in the excellence of its manufacturing process. The noble and natural linen fiber is harvested and woven in Europe. The fabric is then dyed, washed and softened, to give it this delicately crumpled texture, so voluptuous. The piece dyeing takes place in a second stage and on order, in our French workshop: a bath of color is expertly prepared, the washed linen piece is delicately immersed and slowly soaks up each shade. The dyes are revealed on contact with the fiber and offer a magical rendering: the colors vibrate deeply. Each set is then meticulously studied by us, in order to ensure that the shade is harmonious, even if each remains unique and reveals its own vibrations.
