The TAYI bag combines the modernity of quilting with the ancestral love for traditional fabrics. Made from our scraps of AJRAK fabrics hand-block printed, it has a quilted appearance thanks to the assembly of two fabrics that are first manually block-printed with traditional Indian patterns before being dyed. The three patterns are both different... and perfectly complementary: poetic flowers, graphic triangles and original rectangles.
As the AJRAK fabric is made from vegetable dyes and therefore natural, it is a living material whose colors evolve and acquire a patina over time. The red and orange are obtained from madder roots, the brown from rhubarb roots, the blue from indigo, the yellow from pomegranate. You can mix them in mix & match but also use them to wake up a more classic plain. Highly irresistible...
