On the wool of the Haimi plaid, the embroideries draw large colorful patterns, with slightly irregular contours. Inspired by traditional ikat patterns, it gives it a special charm, that of objects that captivate.

Each piece is machine embroidered, meticulously directed by the hands of our artisans, who draw these brightly colored patterns, in obvious contrast on the thick and comfortable wool.

Ikat weaving, an iconic universal art (like ikat the world over), requires unparalleled patience. Painstaking steps prepare the canvas, each steeped in tradition and skill. Before weaving, cotton or silk threads are precisely dyed, using ties or resists to create patterns that come alive across the fabric. The dyed threads come to life in the skilled hands of the artisans, creating the blurred, singular patterns that are unique to Ikat.
