Cotton cushion cover

History

A line of patterned cushions that is a form of artistic craftsmanship. Each piece is hand-painted: in the extension of the brush, the design is born from a gesture. The inspiration comes from Kalamkari, an ancestral pictorial technique originating from India and Iran. The name brings together two words, Kalam (the pen) and Kari (the work).

With natural pigments, the patterns are drawn on cotton soaked in buffalo milk and resin. Works made over a long period of time: 24 hours of drying are necessary between each layer. The result is unique covers with harmonious shades that tell a story.
