History

This Khadi cushion cover plays on contrasts:

- A heavy white cotton background with a felted appearance.
- A border available in three color shades to choose from: chrome, tobacco and biscuit.
- Contrasting black stitching for the finishing touch.

Khadi belongs to this family of exceptional Indian fabrics. The strong identity of this handmade work bears the mark of the one who patiently spun and wove the cotton fiber on a wheel, or "charkha." The subtle irregularities of the weave give it all its nobility. It is a soft and supple fabric, but also versatile, keeping it cool in summer and warm in winter.

In India, khadi has sentimental value: Mahatma Gandhi had elevated this weaving to a true symbol, that of a craft to be defended.
