Abaca fiber is sensitive to water. In case of stains, gently dab with a dry cloth, without rubbing. Never use liquid or abrasive products.

Protecting the base with beeswax: Occasionally apply a thin layer of beeswax to create a natural protective barrier against moisture and maintain the raw look of the steel. Beeswax is particularly beneficial because it is gentle, natural, and does not damage the surface. It also leaves a subtle, slightly satin finish.

Protect from direct sunlight: Prolonged exposure to sunlight can fade colors and weaken the fibers. Place the lampshade in a location where it does not receive direct sunlight.

Delicate handling: As abaca fiber is fragile, handle the lampshade with care, avoiding twisting or crushing it.
