Cotton Khadi

Color: Blue gray

History

The Kormo Terracotta cushion cover has the softness of cotton khadi, an Indian fabric with a downy, almost woolly appearance, but whose finesse is reminiscent of natural gauze.

Hand-spun and woven, Kormo is the very embodiment of cotton in its simplest and purest form: as the material is only rinsed before being handled by the weavers to create the product, the cushion cover emerges all the more authentic.

Unbleached, undyed, Kormo cotton is in its natural state: the proof is that if you look closely, you may be able to come across small details of cotton plants in the weaving. An authentic and unvarnished aspect that is also found in the printing technique of the pattern, according to a traditional printing technique called "block": the artisans use large wooden stamps that they dip in the colors before applying them directly to the fabric. This requires great attention to detail to obtain a continuous and regular geometric pattern.

Kormo is made in India.
