History

Papilio celebrates the ancient art of block printing, a traditional Indian craft in which every motif is hand-printed using finely carved wooden blocks. Colour by colour, skilled artisans carefully apply each pattern, creating the subtle variations that give this technique its beauty, authenticity and unmistakable character.

Its floral design draws inspiration from the lush gardens and rich textile heritage of India. Both timeless and vibrant, it brings a delicate sense of nature into the home. Printed on soft, breathable cotton, Papilio develops a beautiful patina over time, gaining character while preserving the richness of its design. Each piece is crafted in Jaipur, the historic heart of Indian block printing, where this exceptional savoir-faire has been passed down through generations.
