History

The Galee rug is a bit of a cousin to our iconic Janga rug. Like it, it is hand-woven in a blend of cotton and kutchi, a wool produced locally in the Indian province where it is created.

The secret of its unique appearance and its very high quality drape? The traditional technique called Miri, which allows all this play of pompoms, this almost symbolic pattern and this power of colors which vibrate in the braiding, whether in the color TOBACCO or SNOW. An everyday companion that we never tire of.

Advice

Regular vacuuming: vacuum gently without a rotating brush to avoid damaging the fibers. Vacuuming two to three times per week is recommended, especially in high-traffic areas.

Avoid stains: clean any spilled liquid immediately by blotting with a dry cloth. Do not rub, as this may embed the stain deeper into the fibers.

Deep cleaning: once a year, have your rug professionally cleaned by a specialist experienced in wool rugs.

Air and shake: from time to time, take your rug outside and shake it to remove dust and dirt that settle deep within the fibers.

Avoid moisture: wool is sensitive to moisture, so never leave your rug wet for long periods.
