Meli Melo bedspreads are made up of a patchwork of four different hand-woven cotton fabrics. The different cotton panels coexist in a joyful range of prints and colours: the patchwork thus becomes a real artistic composition, dotted with contrasting topstitching that enhances the whole.
As Meli Melo is lightly padded, a slight quilted effect gives it an extra charm. On the back, the rendering is more sober with only two prints.
This piece combines several skills: hand weaving, the traditional Indian art of Khanta embroidery and the fabric which returns to the border as a reminder.
The hardest part will be choosing the color. For combinations, we recommend matching Black and White with a classic Snow, Off-White, Lead or Cement, Rosewood with Breath, Dawn or Apricot, and Day Sky with Agave, Shore or Cobalt.
